Melissa Preddy
Co-Founder
Melissa brings her passion for community building and customer experience to The Wedge. Together with Zach, she ensures every member feels welcomed and supported on their golf improvement journey.
Born from a Passion for Improvement
The Wedge was born from a simple observation: despite the incredible advances in golf technology over the past two decades, most amateur golfers still practice the same way their parents did. They hit ball after ball on the range, hoping that repetition alone will lead to improvement. Meanwhile, touring professionals leverage TrackMan IO launch monitors, high-speed cameras, and biomechanical analysis to understand and optimize every aspect of their swings.
Our founder, Zach Preddy, recognized this gap and saw an opportunity to bring tour-level technology to everyday golfers. The technology existed to help every golfer understand their swing at a deep level—it just wasn't accessible to the average player.
In 2025, Zach opened The Wedge with a clear mission: to democratize access to world-class golf training technology. Our two-bay facility features TrackMan IO launch monitors, high-speed cameras, and AI swing analysis—the same tools used by the pros. We believe that every golfer, regardless of skill level, deserves the opportunity to understand their game and improve methodically.
We remain most proud of the individual transformations we witness every day—the first-time golfer who discovers a lifelong passion, the frustrated 20-handicapper who finally breaks 80, the junior player who earns a college scholarship.
